Assassins Creed Getting into The TV and The Movies business

by Jules Grimm

New Regency along with Ubisoft reported the other day that our beloved series Assassins Creed, would be made into a motion picture.

Although the words video game and movie within the same sentence inspire concern, melancholy and at worst, depression in all of us avid gamers as soon as we consider back on shows including Doom along with Hitman with wishing for the things they could have been, this news provokes in me hope that Ubisoft might be on the right track.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the movie brand of the games development company with the same name, made in January 2011, are going to be maintaining full creative power over the movie. That is a great thing! With the movie script by now being developed along with characters already cast, i want to hope that Ubisoft will offer a similar amount of story and enjoyment they actually do for their online games.

Ceo of Ubisoft Motion Pics, a fellow by the name of Jean-Julien Baronnet said "Bringing aboard New Regency's renowned production and distribution expertise while maintaining our own creative and financial flexibility ensures that Assassin's Creed will be a high-quality film that respects the lore and fans of the video game franchise."

The production company New Regency, has created some strongly rated films for their time including "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" as well as "Natural Born Killers", but they have also created a few serious flops such as "Daredevil". Nevertheless Jean-Julien moved on to express "Ubisoft chose to partner with New Regency because they are a talented filmmaker-driven company, with the same independent and creative mindset that we have at Ubisoft Motion Pictures."

New Regency are currently focusing on the Rabbids Tv show, that is to be consists of Seventy Eight times 7-minute shows completed in CGI. in partnership with France Televisions along with Nickelodeon. Did you have any idea that is on the cards? This is the first We've heard about it, even so it could possibly be interesting, not that I actually watch television ever. Cuts far too much into my gaming time, however i will obviously keep my eyes open and rent it on the net as soon as this comes out.

The main cheese at New Regency -- Brad Weston, told us "We wanted to do everything we could to secure the rights to Assassin's Creed, which Ubisoft has maintained with such care and quality over the years." Well I am confident you did Brad, just have a glimpse at the product sales connected with Assassin's Creed within the last couple of years, however this is a tip for you personally: These AC video game titles are awesome... damn beneficial. You simply will not have the exact revenue statistics if you can't make your movie every bit as good as the video game, if not far better. So there, I said it.

He continued to state: "Having just finished working with Michael on Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave (with Plan B) made the partnership even more irresistible."

And by Michael, he means the Michael Fassbender (the man who played Magneto in X-men First Class) that is already on board to perform an important part in the movie. Who will he play? I am not sure, I would envision he is either intending to play Desmond Miles or Altar ibn-La'Ahad... Say that A few times quickly. But my own money is Desmond, as they look similar as well as Michael is German born, which places him in a poor position to play Altar, despite the fact that he could play both technically.

In addition, i found an additional excellent bit of information, which I 'm really interested in, and forgive me if you already knew this, but Ubisoft Motion Pictures is not just doing work on one game to motion picture adaption. They are at present already in development with Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon. Currently there are a couple of motion pictures I would personally absolutely love to view.

And then to add to the great Assassins Creed 3 reports today, you may have spotted this in the media, but if you haven't or you want to see in High definition at your own speed, here is the brand new TV spot for Assassins Creed 3. Find it here: http://youtu.be/mc-J2cZEAxE
