Do-it-yourself Hydroponic Gardening

When planting strawberries, the roots must not become wet and thus, people would automatically think that Hydroponics will not be compatible for this type of plant but there are other methods that is compatible with this plant and that is the aeroponics and the ebb and flow system.

What you need to comprehend about hydroponic strawberries is that plants need nutrients and the method of hydroponics is that the water is instilled with nutrients which are sprayed to the plant's roots.

In order for the strawberry plant to receive nutrients, their roots are usually hanged and they are watered with the water that was infused with nutrients. The water infused with nutrients is a substitution for the plants because they are not planted in soil and this would mean that they do not receive any nutrients because the soil holds the nutrients. The soil and hydroponics does not give nutrients to the plant, remember that the soil only holds the nutrients needed and so, the water infused with nutrients is what is giving the plant the nutrients.

This is about the Ebb and Flow System

Plant the strawberries in a small tube and then the tube is to be inserted through an opening of a larger tube which allows the roots to hang and in the larger tube, the water is fed to the roots from time to time --- this is the procedure to follow if you are planning to cultivate strawberries using the ebb and flow system.

The Aeroponics Hydroponics Way

With the aeroponics hydroponics system of planting fruits and vegetables, the roots are hanged in a container and sprayed with the water nutrient solution which keeps it moist but not saturated with water.
