How To Turbocharge Your Imagination To Mastermind Levels

by Xavier J. Murphy

Sometimes solving problems can be fun. Other times it can be maddening frustrating. When that happens, there isn't much you can do. Maybe hope that something will come to you in a dream, or maybe you'll get a flash of insight in those early hours of the morning. But what if there was a way to get genius inspiration any time you wanted? Keep reading, because there is.

The procedure is occasionally referred to as "Borrowed Genius," and was initially created by Win Wenger, author of "The Einstein Factor." Fundamentally it involves a distinctive hallucination. Although if you wish, it can entail tapping into the superior conscious intellect that we all have access to. Whichever you have faith in, it will come off just fine.

The essential principle is to stumble on an authority in the subject you are having your difficulty, or obstruction, and ask their opinion somehow. Napoleon Hill described this method as having several giants from American history over for dinner every Wednesday night. They would talk about problems of the day at length, and Hill would secure important concepts. From Hill's point of view, this was all made-up, and only a way of circumventing his brains native creativity blocks, but others may deem it an honest tapping into the aforementioned super conscious.

You may ask your expert over for dinner, or merely channel them through whatever technique you choose. The secret is to imagine with all you might that you are really, in fact, conversing with this specialist. The stronger your belief in the process, the better it will work.

You may choose to speak with your authority repeatedly, and create a relationship with him or her. This way they will be much more enthusiastic to help you, and much more approachable, should the need arise. Nothing is worse than having a urgent predicament and having to wait on a delayed imaginary expert.

Another more drastic tactic was created by Wenger. This is best done by formulating your trouble into a "How can I solve this predicament," kind of question. Then with the lone question in the forefront of your mind, close your eyes.

Envision that you see your authority, or genius up ahead. They are facing away from you. Walk up gently behind them, and when you are standing right behind them, say the question to yourself one more time. Then reach up, grab their head, and promptly put it on your body. Swiftly ask the inquiry again, and see what answer pops into your borrowed mind, with all the borrowed experience and expertise. Odds are you'll come up with a doozy that you never would have thought of before.

Keep in mind that there is nothing miraculous or mystical going on here. You are only using a self created vision to get your creative juices flowing. If it works, then use it. Einstein, as well as other fantastic minds of science are well known for using outlandish imaginations to help them come up with their concepts. If it worked for them, it can certainly work for you.
